Lost Art

It’s not lost on me that letter-writing, of any sort, is becoming a lost art.  Recently, I received something from an organization that was sent as a thank-you of sorts.  Because of social media, I found out that some members of the same organization had not received said thank-you.  Since I had an enjoyed my thank-you for several months, I offered to pay it forward.  The recipient sent me a lovely handwritten thank you note, for which I am grateful.

This was not just a ‘thank you very much’ statement but a bit of insight too.

I guess my question is does one send a thank you note for a thank you note? Because I feel as if I should.
